In partnership with SOMOS, this “Water is Community” project is about gathering water and stories from our Taos watershed, focusing on the values we hold around water. Twenty-plus community narratives will be exhibited at a pop-up installation in the Taos Center for the Art’s Encore Gallery, April 6 through 8. Interviews will be conducted in February by a SOMOS team of writers. Storytellers will be asked to share a short story about their experiences with water in Taos, provide a small container of water and allow a photo of themselves, all to be included in the pop-up installation.
The three-day installation will gather the voices and water of our community. An opening reception is scheduled April 6,from 4-6:00pm with guest poets curated by Ariana Kramer and SOMOS.
This project is made possible by the LOR Foundation.
