David Morrell will be discussing and signing his book Inspector of the Dead on Wednesday, September 20 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at Stella's Italian Restaurant. He is the guest speaker for the monthly Mystery Book Club. His book is a fantastic historical thriller set in London in 1855 featuring the brilliant but notorious opium-eater Thomas De Quincey and his daughter Emily. Morrell has mixed real and fictional people with solid research. This book is spellbinding from the first to last page.
David Morrell is best know for his debut novel, First Blood, which introduced the character Rambo. An Edgar, Anthony, and Macavity nominee, Morrell is a recipient of the International Thriller Writers prestigious Thriller Master Award. At this writing, he has written thirty works of fiction, and his books have been translated into twenty-six languages.
